Product Manufacturing Analyst

About the team

The Product Development Team (PDT) supports the Currency Department by providing timely, evidence-based expertise on bank note technologies. The team evaluates bank note performance and production, monitors emerging threats and innovations, and recommends world-class bank note configurations to ensure security, durability, and functionality.

What you will do

Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will support ongoing work by providing specialized technical expertise with a great degree of autonomy. You will collaborate closely with PDT colleagues and contribute to bank note development, testing, and technology assessment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assist in planning and executing scale-up trials of bank note-related products and processes from laboratory to industrial production.
  • Collect data and use AI tools and standard methods to analyze and summarize results for decision-making.
  • Support process optimization and maintain quality standards
  • Support the identification and management of manufacturing risks, and suggest practical improvements or mitigation actions
  • Help troubleshoot process and product issues with guidance from team members.
  • Apply established methods and tools to solve technical problems and support issue resolution.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and well-organized documentation of work, results, and key learnings.
  • Clearly communicate with colleagues and leadership, including succinctly synthesizing key takeaways from technical topics for non-technical recipients


What you need to succeed
You are a strong analytical thinker with a passion for product development and hands-on troubleshooting.

You bring:
  • Advanced critical thinking, experimental design, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex, uncertain information and clearly articulate implications and recommendations
  • Experience using AI tools and data analytics to support advanced analysis, and experience with data sets
  • Outstanding problem-solving, and reporting. Experience in process optimization and/or lean manufacturin

Your education and experience
You have training in Process/Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineer, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physical Engineering. This may be demonstrated through an undergraduate degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $94,193 to $110,816 (job grade 16)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
