Description

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The Product Manager - Employee Experience owns the strategy and evolution of Okland's company intranet and the connected systems that support how employees find information, stay informed, and get work done.

Sitting on the People Team and partnering closely with Innovation, this role combines product management, UX, technology, content management, employee communications, and process improvement. A key priority will be reimagining our current intranet experience-understanding how work really happens, identifying what is not working, and driving a significantly better, more connected solution.

While the role includes hands-on content creation and employee communications, the work is grounded in the user experience: keeping information current and trusted, making it easy to find, reducing noise and duplication, and enabling employees to do their best work.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

  • Own the day-to-day health of the intranet, including creating and updating content, managing ongoing needs, and ensuring information stays current, useful, and relevant.
  • Lead the overall employee communications calendar, creating visibility and coordination across company-wide communications, key initiatives, events, and recurring messages.
  • Partner with teams across the business to plan and sequence communications, reduce competing or duplicative messages, and ensure employees receive the right information at the right time.
  • Create employee-facing content when needed and establish clear ownership, standards, and processes for content managed by others.
  • Own information architecture, search, content strategy, governance, and document control to make information easier to find and trust.

YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Management, UX, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in product management, product ownership, UX, digital employee experience, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, user research, information architecture, and product discovery.
  • Ability to partner effectively with technical teams and translate user needs into clear product and technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of systems, integrations, APIs, data flows, and software development processes; development expertise is not required.
  • Experience with intranets, knowledge management, enterprise search, employee technology, or content management strongly preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow design, or automation preferred.
  • Construction or other field-based/operational experience is a plus.
