Based in Florham Park, NJ, the Product Manager for Emerson's Fluid & Motion Control's business is responsible for driving success of one of our Product Portfolios.

The candidate will report to the Director of Product Management. Acting as a General Manager for your portfolio, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle through concept, launch, maturity and discontinuation.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:
  • Work with customers facing teams to understand and synthetize market trends, competitor moves and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to identify continuous improvement opportunities and support their execution.
  • Develop detailed category understanding through in-depth product reviews to build portfolio roadmap addressing gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Orchestrate and support key portfolio activities - Obsolescence, Product Positioning, Pricing, Product Launches, Sales support, Product trainings - based on roadmap and business strategy.
  • Initiate New Product Development projects and drive early gates.
  • Monitor and interpret wide range of KPIs (financial, operational, commercial) to continuously measure on-going initiatives and adjust the product strategy.
  • Punctually lead or support strategic initiatives related to Motion Control SBU.

For This Role, You Will Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related Degree
  • Two years of relevant experience in a marketing or technical environment
  • Highly self-motivated individuals demonstrated success in driving cross-functional alignment and execution
  • Fast and independent learner.
  • Ability to both dive into the details and understand the big picture.
  • Travel - 20% to global Services sites and customer locations as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Customer and/or supplier facing experience
  • Participation in cross-functional transformation project e.g. deployment of new tools, new processes, team reorganization, technology upgrades.
  • Exposure to ERP or CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and business case development.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $95,000 - $ 120,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
