Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that areeasy to use,easilymaintainedandhighly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of allproduct,technologyand design work.
TheTaxProductTeamis responsible fordiscovering, designing, and delivering solutions thatoptimize, automate, and scale tax processes across Procurement Tax, Property Tax, and Income Tax. This product portfolio focuses on the systems, data, reporting, and partner processes that help Target calculate, manage, andcomply withtax obligations.This role will primarily focus on Procurement Tax, while also supporting broader Tax Product priorities across Property Tax and Income Tax as needed. Procurement Tax isa highly complexdomain due to the number of enterprise systems, vendor transactions, and process handoffs involved.This role will serve as the primary productleadfor Vertex O Series, the tax calculation engine used to support Procurement Tax, with a focus on how it integrates with SAP-enabled procurement and financial processes. The Product Manager will help build stronger internal productexpertise, strengthen tax accuracy and controls, and partner closely with Tax, Finance Capabilities, Technology, Data &Analytics, and broader Finance teams to deliver scalable solutions.
As aProduct Manager, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and businessobjectives(OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize thedirection and desired outcomesfor your product.You will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, datascientistsand business partners to deliver a product.
You will be the voice of the product with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and you will be responsible to maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories &acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will fostersenseof urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.

About you:
Four-year degreeor equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in product management or technology delivery in a tax,financeor accounting domain
Experience working with tax, finance, or accounting processes and technology-enabled solutions; experience with Vertex O Series or other tax calculation engines, SAP-supported procurement or financial processes, tax reporting tools, or compliance systems preferred
Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
Strong communicationskillswithability to communicate milestones and roadmapsandfacilitatecommunication between business and technology teams
Curious and driven to understand end-to-end processes and business impact
Problem solving skills with ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems to root causes allowing incremental value delivery
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target6#39;s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member6#39;s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
