Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Product Manager to lead strategy, roadmap, and growth for payroll experiences in Business Banking, with primary responsibility for a U.S. Bank-branded, digitally embedded payroll product delivered through a third-party partner. This role expands essential business management capabilities within the banking platform and strengthens the value proposition for business customers.
The Product Manager will lead a cross-functional team across product, engineering, design, and content to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. The role requires strong product judgment, disciplined discovery, strategic prioritization, and the ability to influence effectively across internal partners and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:- Own the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and performance outcomes for embedded payroll capabilities within Business Banking.
- Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, design, and content to deliver iterative product improvements with measurable customer and business impact.
- Drive customer discovery and synthesize behavioral data, funnel performance, segmentation, and competitive insights to identify unmet needs, adoption barriers, and growth opportunities.
- Partner with the payroll provider and internal stakeholders to align priorities, delivery plans, release readiness, and go-to-market execution.
- Define and manage product metrics to improve conversion, activation, engagement, retention, and adoption.
Minimum Qualifications:- Product management experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:- Experience leading digital products, customer journeys, or embedded/platform experiences, with strength in product discovery, roadmap development, prioritization, and iterative delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead across disciplines, influence without formal authority, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong analytical capability and sound product judgment, including use of product data, funnel analysis, segmentation, and competitive inputs to frame complex problems and drive effective decisions.
- Experience managing product metrics and operating effectively in a regulated or risk-managed environment.
- Technical fluency to partner effectively with engineering on feasibility, sequencing, and delivery tradeoffs.
- Experience in payroll, business banking, fintech, HR/payroll technology, or embedded B2B services strongly preferred.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
