Waters Biosciences is seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded, and strategically focused Product Manager - Market Analytics to lead market intelligence, commercial analytics, and business insights across our Biosciences portfolio, with an emphasis on cell analysis and flow cytometry markets.

This role serves as a key partner to Product Management, Product Marketing, Global Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Finance, translating complex market, customer, competitive, and commercial data into actionable insights that drive portfolio strategy, strengthen go-to-market execution, and accelerate growth.

The successful candidate combines analytical rigor, life sciences market understanding, and business acumen to identify growth opportunities, evaluate market dynamics, shape commercial priorities, and influence strategic decisions across biopharma, academic, government, and applied research markets.

This is a highly visible individual contributor role that directly impacts portfolio planning, commercial effectiveness, investment decisions, and long-term business performance.

Role Purpose

Drive data-informed business decisions through market intelligence, customer insights, competitive analysis, forecasting, and commercial analytics that strengthen portfolio strategy, optimize market execution, and accelerate growth across the Waters Biosciences portfolio.

Serve as a trusted advisor to product and commercial leadership by delivering strategic insights that identify opportunities, guide investments, improve competitive positioning, and inform business planning.

Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
• Analyze market size, segmentation, share, growth rates, and competitive dynamics across key life sciences markets and applications.
• Develop actionable customer, application, and workflow insights through quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
• Lead voice-of-customer initiatives, customer segmentation analyses, win/loss assessments, and persona development programs.
• Identify emerging market trends, growth opportunities, competitive risks, and evolving customer needs.
• Develop strategic market assessments that inform portfolio priorities, market investments, and growth strategies.
• Translate complex market and customer data into clear business recommendations for commercial and product leadership teams.

Commercial Analytics & Business Performance
• Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of commercial and marketing initiatives across digital, field, and channel activities.
• Develop executive dashboards and performance reporting that provide visibility into pipeline health, funnel conversion, customer engagement, and return on investment.
• Identify performance drivers and recommend actions that improve demand generation effectiveness and commercial outcomes.
• Deliver insights that inform business decisions, resource allocation, and growth strategies.
• Present findings, recommendations, and performance trends to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Establish key performance indicators and reporting frameworks that strengthen business visibility and performance management.

Portfolio Strategy & Competitive Intelligence
• Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing teams to inform portfolio strategy, commercialization priorities, and lifecycle decisions.
• Conduct competitive intelligence assessments covering products, technologies, pricing, positioning, messaging, and market developments.
• Evaluate market opportunities, business cases, and investment priorities using data-driven analysis.
• Develop recommendations that strengthen competitive differentiation and market positioning.
• Assess pricing and value proposition opportunities that improve portfolio performance and customer adoption.
• Generate insights that influence portfolio planning and growth investments.

Forecasting & Strategic Planning
• Lead market modeling, scenario planning, and forecasting initiatives that support annual operating plans and commercial growth strategies.
• Develop demand forecasts, market outlooks, and business performance projections that guide investment decisions and resource allocation.
• Partner with Commercial Operations, Sales Leadership, and Finance teams to align assumptions, business expectations, and planning priorities.
• Evaluate market and commercial trends to improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
• Develop analytical frameworks that support long-term strategic planning and growth initiatives.

Data Analytics & Business Enablement
• Leverage CRM, marketing automation, business intelligence, and market research platforms to generate actionable business insights.
• Drive improvements in data quality, reporting consistency, governance, and analytical processes across commercial and marketing functions.
• Develop scalable analytics solutions, dashboards, and reporting tools that increase efficiency and business value.
• Automate reporting and analytical workflows to improve speed, scalability, and usability.
• Champion data-driven decision making by providing timely, relevant, and actionable business intelligence to stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

Required
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in market analytics, business analytics, commercial analytics, marketing analytics, product marketing, or related strategic business roles.
• Experience within life sciences, biotechnology, analytical instrumentation, diagnostics, healthcare, or related scientific markets.
• Demonstrated success translating complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence decisions and drive outcomes across matrixed organizations.

Preferred
• Experience supporting flow cytometry, cell analysis, reagents, assays, instrumentation, or related life science technologies.
• Experience with product marketing, portfolio management, demand generation, commercialization, or go-to-market strategy.
• Experience utilizing Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar CRM and marketing automation tools.
• Exposure to forecasting, pricing analytics, market modeling, scenario planning, and advanced statistical analysis.
• MBA, advanced scientific degree, or equivalent business experience.
