The Role

We are seeking a technical product manager supporting our IAM investments for our Ads business. We’re looking for someone who is excited about this challenge and who brings expertise in the IAM space, understands the product management lifecycle, and is used to working closely with engineering teams. We need you to be driven, autonomous, and able to partner with and delegate to your engineering partners. This role is highly cross-functional and will help our team solve the right problems by aligning priorities to do what’s best for Netflix; we’re looking for proficiency and ease in managing complex and unique customer relationships! 

  • Build a strategic roadmap and take product concepts from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration. 

  • Steer the product ship with guidance, strong partnerships,and ability to influence product direction towards optimal solutions with cross-functional team members.

  • Partner closely with leadership and diverse stakeholders to align on our vision, strategy, and roadmaps

  • Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation.

  • Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers, and align it with evolving industry best practices. Have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, proactively work on the right challenges and build optimal product solutions to address the customer needs.

  • Be a domain expert who can identify new opportunities and collaborate with team members throughout the organization on their identity, authentication & authorization requirements.

Expertise & Skills

  • 8+ years experience in product management for widely available software/online services

  • Expertise in identity and access management, including federation (SAML, OIDC), SCIM provisioning, OAuth 2.0 flows, and user lifecycle management

  • Ability to make tough decisions informed by both data and judgment

  • Demonstrated record of executing projects that measurably improved customer experiences while reducing risk

  • Organizational leadership and influence without relying on hierarchy

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills: great memos and presentations to technical & non-technical partners are extremely important

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead a cross-functional team

  • Ability to scale through others and delegate to downstream teams as necessary 

  • Comfort with ambiguity and navigating ever evolving business priorities and investments 

  • Background in advertising technology, studio or production environments, and their intersection with IAM is a plus, but not a requirement

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $310,000.00 - $545,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.
