The Role

In this role, you'll lead complex technology initiatives, including Workday implementations, enhancements, integrations, application support transitions, and transformation programs. You'll earn visibility and trust with customers and stakeholders at every level, influence high-impact initiatives, and reinforce Kyndryl's reputation as a trusted technology partner.

You'll work across Kyndryl Workday functional and technical teams, HR and business stakeholders, application teams, architects, integration specialists, security teams, and third-party partners to ensure Workday solutions are delivered successfully and aligned with customer business objectives.

What You Will Do
Plan and Execute Projects
  • Build detailed project plans that define scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables for Workday and related enterprise application initiatives.
  • Lead delivery activities across the Workday project lifecycle, including requirements, solution design, configuration, integrations, data migration, security, testing, deployment, change management, and production transition.
  • Prioritize work to focus resources on the activities that drive the greatest customer and business impact.
  • Manage risks proactively by identifying potential issues, dependencies, and delivery constraints early and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure the right skills are applied at the right time, including Workday functional consultants, Workday technical and integration specialists, architects, business analysts, application support teams, AI and cloud specialists, and industry experts.
  • Coordinate Workday project schedules and deliverables with related customer initiatives and supporting enterprise platforms.
Lead and Align Teams
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Kyndryl Workday resources, HR and business stakeholders, technical teams, account teams, architects, security specialists, integration teams, subcontractors, and Workday or third-party partners.
  • Drive collaboration and maintain alignment across Workday functional, technical, integration, data, security, and business workstreams, ensuring smooth handoffs between teams.
  • Coach and support team members to achieve high performance while meeting project commitments and deadlines.
  • Facilitate project governance, steering, status, risk, and cadence meetings to keep stakeholders informed and accountable.
  • Establish clear ownership and accountability for Workday deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
Monitor and Deliver Outcomes
  • Track progress against project milestones and Workday implementation or enhancement objectives, adapting plans as business priorities or delivery requirements change.
  • Ensure SLA adherence and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, schedule, and service delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, resource utilization, schedules, and performance metrics to optimize delivery quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor Workday configuration, integration, testing, data migration, security, deployment, and production-readiness activities to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate defect and issue resolution across functional and technical teams, escalating critical issues when required.
  • Ensure appropriate testing, acceptance criteria, operational readiness, knowledge transfer, and transition-to-support activities are completed before production deployment.
  • Resolve project issues decisively to maintain delivery momentum and customer confidence.
Communicate and Influence
  • Act as the primary delivery point of contact for customers, Kyndryl leadership, Workday teams, HR and business stakeholders, technical resources, and partners.
  • Translate complex Workday, application, integration, and project information into clear, actionable updates for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Provide timely status reporting covering progress, milestones, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and upcoming activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and maintain alignment between business objectives, Workday capabilities, and technology requirements.
  • Facilitate decisions when Workday business processes, configuration, integration requirements, or other technical dependencies affect project outcomes.
  • Foster trust and transparency through consistent, professional, and proactive communication.
Build Partnerships
  • Strengthen customer relationships through proactive engagement, responsiveness, and a strong understanding of their Workday environment, HR processes, operational priorities, and broader technology landscape.
  • Support a "one team with the customer" mindset that aligns Kyndryl, customer, Workday, and partner resources around common objectives and outcomes.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Workday functional and technical teams, customer HR organizations, application owners, architects, security teams, integration specialists, and service delivery organizations.
  • Embed with customer teams when needed to enhance visibility, accelerate decision-making, and add tangible value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Workday processes, application support, integrations, automation, governance, and overall service delivery.
  • Represent Kyndryl with credibility and integrity in every customer, Workday, partner, and stakeholder interaction.


Who You Are
Required Skills and Experience
  • SCRUM, Agile, or Project Management skills, with experience planning, coordinating, and delivering technology projects.
  • Experience managing or supporting Workday application projects, including implementations, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, or application support initiatives.
  • Basic IT and architectural knowledge, with an understanding of enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, integrations, data, security, and cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge of Workday project delivery concepts, including requirements, configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, and production transition.
  • Strong organization, planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
  • Ability to coordinate Workday functional and technical resources, business and HR stakeholders, application teams, integration specialists, architects, and third-party partners.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a "one team" philosophy, promoting alignment between Kyndryl, the customer, and partner teams.
  • Ability to track project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, actions, and decisions and provide clear project status reporting.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management, Agile, work management, or collaboration tools.
  • Previous experience delivering Workday HCM or other Workday-related projects in a consulting, managed services, or enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Workday HCM, business processes, integrations, security, reporting, testing, release management, and production support concepts.
  • Experience coordinating Workday implementation partners, functional consultants, technical resources, and customer HR/IT organizations.
  • Understanding of SaaS application implementation methodologies and enterprise application lifecycle management.
  • Experience with project governance, change control, risk management, resource management, and financial tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex project and technical information clearly.
  • Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including customer leadership, HR and business leaders, technical teams, Kyndryl account leadership, architects, vendors, and delivery partners.
  • Ability to translate business objectives and Workday-related requirements into actionable project plans and measurable delivery outcomes.
  • Workday, Agile, SCRUM, ITIL, or Project Management certifications are considered an advantage.
