Full Job Description
Product Manager III, Rapid API - Post-Booking

Introduction to the Team

Expedia Group B2B is the B2B arm of Expedia Group. We bring innovative technology and distribution solutions to partners across the world, powering travel partnerships at scale through access to one of the industry's most comprehensive travel supply sets.

Within this space, our Post-Booking Servicing team focuses on everything that happens after a traveler books: modifications, cancellations, refunds, relocations, and the tools and notifications that keep partners, travelers, and suppliers aligned when plans change. This role is centered on the lodging vertical, with a strong emphasis on API-driven servicing capabilities, partner self-serve tooling, and reducing the cost and friction of post-booking events.

The Role

As a Product Manager III on the Post-Booking Servicing team, you will own product strategy and execution for the capabilities that manage a booking's lifecycle after confirmation. You will work at the intersection of partner needs, operational realities, and technical delivery to build products that make cancellations, refunds, relocations, and disruption handling faster, more transparent, and less dependent on manual intervention.

This role is ideal for a product manager who is energized by operational complexity, has strong instincts for API product design, and can translate messy real-world servicing scenarios into clear, scalable product solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for post-booking servicing capabilities, including modifications, cancellations, refunds, relocations, and disruption notifications, prioritizing based on partner impact, servicing cost, and technical feasibility
  • Partner closely with engineering teams across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and API design through launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization of servicing workflows
  • Develop a deep understanding of the financial, operational, and compliance rules that govern refunds, cancellations, and modifications, and translate them into clear product and API requirements
  • Define self-serve capabilities, including AI-assisted case triage and resolution suggestions, that let partners resolve servicing requests independently and reduce contact center volume
  • Design proactive and reactive notification capabilities (e.g., disruption alerts, availability changes, relocation triggers) that keep partners and travelers informed with minimal manual intervention
  • Collaborate with commercial, operations, servicing, and partner success teams to define clear escalation paths, ownership boundaries, and service-level expectations across partners
  • Define and track success metrics such as self-serve adoption, resolution time, contact center deflection, servicing cost per booking, and partner satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to differentiate servicing for high-value traveler segments and strategic partners through tailored SLAs and enhanced capabilities
  • Communicate product vision, priorities, trade-offs, and progress clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
  • Contribute to broader servicing strategy by bringing insights from partner feedback, operational data, and industry trends in post-booking experience

Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B, platform, marketplace, or travel technology products
  • Strong experience with API or platform products, including a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, integration workflows, and developer experience
  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy, create roadmaps, write clear requirements, and deliver iteratively with engineering teams
  • Experience working in operationally complex domains where financial, compliance, or policy rules directly shape product requirements
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience using data and product metrics to inform prioritization and measure outcomes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical, commercial, and operational teams

Preferred
  • Experience in the travel industry, particularly in servicing, customer care, or partner-facing product roles
  • Familiarity with modern API patterns and integration models
  • Experience with AI-enabled product capabilities or intelligent automation to reduce manual servicing effort
  • Experience participating in partner engagements such as roadmap discussions, business reviews, or escalation reviews
