Ad Platforms is responsible for Disney's industry-leading ad technology and products - driving advertising performance, innovation, and value in Disney's sports, news, and entertainment content, across all media platforms.

Job Summary

As a Product Manager within Ad Platforms technology, you will be a part of the team redefining advertising for some of the most watched TV and digital networks in the country. You will be responsible for establishing product vision and driving execution to establish the future of The Walt Disney Company's advertising needs through unified data and reporting capabilities. The right person for this role must be self-motivated with demonstrated knowledge of video advertising, data product management, and delivery management throughout the ads lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
  • Work with our Ad Platforms Product and Data Engineering teams as a data expert to drive the strategy and implementation details for ads data products, keeping business stakeholder needs at the forefront
  • Contribute to the data product roadmap and drive delivery of advertising data and analytics initiatives, aligning stakeholders and driving results
  • Determine product prioritization, including value identification, architectural complexity, cost savings and progress against the broader business strategy, within your specific area
  • Maintain expected standards across the team for product specifications, backlog health, and consumable user stories for engineering partners
  • Product owner for a Scrum team by participating agile ceremonies, responsible for prioritization, backlog refinement, and feature definition
  • Collaborate with other product managers to drive innovation in platform services including ad serving, measurement, operational data store and BI
  • Partner with the Ad Sales teams to define and iterate on business critical data products
  • Partner with the Platform Operations team to optimize the ongoing health and financial viability of our product line
  • Partner with engineering organization to execute against the product roadmap, delivering on the needs of the business
  • Hold a deep compassion for our users, and creatively tackle problems with a viewer-first mentality


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of product management experience, highly preferred from established technology or digital media company
  • Strong knowledge for data, analytics and enablement of online platforms or service including expertise with SQL and various business intelligence tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau etc.
  • Strong technical diagramming and documentation skills.
  • Proven experience in a product role with the ability to demonstrate a record of success
  • Ability to interact with a diverse set of tech and non-tech partners
  • Ability to collaborate, and deliver solutions in a sophisticated, always-changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelors degree in related field of study
The hiring range for this position in New York, New York is $123,000 to $165,000 per year and in Santa Monica, California is $117,500 to $157,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
