Product Manager, Gx Portfolio is responsible for defining the strategy for their portfolio, driving tactical execution, and maximizing portfolio performance. This role oversees the full product lifecycle management of a portfolio of generic pharmaceutical products and ensures
Commercial Launch Excellence for new product introductions.
Responsibilities include strategic planning, market analysis, product selection and development, launch execution, and ongoing performance optimization. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, data-driven professional with a strong understanding of the Canadian generic pharmaceutical market, regulatory environment, and commercial strategies.
As the central point of contact for the portfolio, the Product Manager leads and influences cross-functional teams, including Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance. This role requires strong business acumen, effective project management, cross-functional leadership, and a collaborative approach to ensure products meet market needs and contribute to business growth.
How You'll Spend Your Day- Own and driveCommercial Launch Excellence for products within the portfolio, ensuring effective launch planning, cross-functional readiness, successful execution, and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Develop and execute comprehensive portfolio strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market opportunities.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, from portfolio selection and product development through commercialization and eventual product retirement.
- Lead the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring seamless collaboration across all functions.
- Develop and manage marketing materials and promotional initiatives.
- Monitor product performance through established KPIs and adjust strategies as required to optimize results.
- Act as the subject matter expert for assigned products, presenting initiatives and supporting sales team engagement and training.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain to minimize the business impact of product supply disruptions.
- Perform other duties as required to support business needs.
Your Skills and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful and relevant experience managing a generic pharmaceutical portfolio in Canada.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian generic pharmaceutical market, including market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical portfolio management practices within the Canadian regulatory and compliance environment.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Working knowledge of IQVIA data and its various datasets.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Ability and willingness to learn new processes, software applications, and systems.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,960-$126,200. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
