Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking an
Outbound Product Manager for OEM and Data Center Solutions to lead the application, positioning, and deployment of valve and damper actuator solutions across emerging markets. This role functions as the outbound extension of Product Management, enabling swift responses to market opportunities through standardized, scalable solution architectures. It bridges market needs, product portfolio, and execution, ensuring alignment with technical, operational, and strategic objectives. This is a Product Management position and does not involve sales quotas, account ownership, or commercial negotiations.
As a Product Manager - Data Center Solutions (Outbound), you will: - Define and standardize lead solutions for emerging markets, focusing mainly on OEMs and Data Centers with priorities such as air and liquid cooling, redundancy, and mission-critical performance.
- Convert customer and market needs into reliable, repeatable valve and actuator solutions.
- Facilitate quick opportunity responses by establishing clear intake requirements, categorizing opportunities (standard, configurable, or non-standard), and providing pre-approved solutions within specified timelines.
- Capture market insights and convert them into structured inputs for product roadmap prioritization
- Create and update solution playbooks, reference architectures, configuration tools, selection guidelines, standard submittals, and specification templates.
- Promote reuse and scalability of solutions across North America to minimize custom engineering efforts.
- Act as the product authority for application-level decisions within defined performance and portfolio guardrails
- Collaborate cross-functionally with:
- Portfolio Product Management (strategy & roadmap)
- Sales & Application Engineering (enablement)
- R&D (technical feasibility & gaps)
- Operations / Supply Chain (availability & alternatives)
You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, HVAC, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Application Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Control valves and actuator technologies
- HVAC, hydronic, or building automation systems
- System-level performance (flow, pressure, redundancy, fail-safe)
- Demonstrated ability to make fast, high-quality decisions in complex, cross-functional environments
- High level of communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate with employees and other team members, including at a senior management level and global leadership
- Knowledge and experience working in agile product development processes
- Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to build & develop an impactful, engaged, and customer-focused global organization
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience with HVAC OEMs and Data Center cooling systems (strongly preferred), including, chilled water and liquid cooling architectures, redundancy strategies (N, N+1, 2N) and mission-critical reliability requirements
- Experience in additional markets such as Healthcare, Life Sciences, or critical infrastructure
- Proven track record of developing standardized solutions, playbooks, or configuration tools
- Familiarity with supply chain considerations and designing for scalability and availability
- Experience with consultant-driven specifications and large project environments
- Background transitioning from engineering or applications into Product Management

The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
