Full Job Description
As the Product Manager, Crew Planning, you will own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of digital products supporting planners across Flight operations and In flight services.

You will work closely with operational stakeholders, engineering, architecture, UX, analytics, and vendor partners to deliver business outcomes through innovative digital solutions. The role combines product strategy, customer-centric design, data-driven decision making, and agile delivery practices to improve planning efficiency, operational reliability, and employee experience.

You will define and measure product success through key performance indicators (KPIs), continuously evaluate customer needs, and prioritize investments based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.

Continuous improvements, mindful integrations, end-to-end digital experience for planners and stable operations should be at the premise of this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the digital product vision and roadmap for crew planning applications at Air Canada.
  • Leverage user research and interpret analytics to identify overall product strategy, aligning it with business goals and evaluating trade-offs with technical feasibility.
  • Facilitate the cycle of Agile product delivery from discovery, to product fit, to stories, backlog ownership and prioritization, sprint & release planning
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including crew planners, on both Pilots and Crew side, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to product development.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle, making informed decisions about new features and product direction to support strategic objectives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including IT, UX/UI design, data analytics, and operations, to deliver seamless and impactful digital products.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, using agile methodologies and technical acumen.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in digital solutions for cabin crew operations.
  • Work collaboratively with other product teams to ensure harmonization between respective product roadmaps, business objectives, user needs and technical feasibility in product design and development. Align your goals, objectives, and projects to deliver better products to our workforce.
  • Lead strategy for product launches, ensuring solid cross-functional communication and change management.
  • Prepare presentations and actively participate in meetings with leaders across the company to communicate roadmap, new features, and data.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration) or relevant experience in Aviation and/or Technology.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Product management and/or Technology.
  • Experience with Aviation products, including Jeppesen applications is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma & AI platforms like Claude, cursor, copilot is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen, enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a history of achieving product success and driving business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion to learn and add value to make products better, is the main skillset a candidate must possess
