As a Community Product Manager at Crunchbase, you will build and lead a high-impact community of customers, founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders.

This role sits within the Product organization and is distinct from traditional marketing-led community roles. The Community Product Manager will design and scale a structured community program that directly influences roadmap decisions, accelerates onboarding and feature adoption, and strengthens customer retention.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You will build systems that generate actionable product insight while also engaging directly with users. You should be comfortable prototyping ideas in real time, leveraging AI tools to mock up workflows, demos, and experiments during live user conversations.

This role is about building community and building signal.
What You'll Do:
  • Build and Scale a Product-Centered Community:
    • Design and launch a structured community program aligned to product and business goals
    • Evaluate, select, and implement the appropriate community platform
    • Establish advisory councils, product councils, beta groups, and early access cohorts
    • Develop and nurture engagement across Slack, Discord, LinkedIn, Discourse, Circle, and emerging platforms
    • Foster high-quality discussions that generate meaningful product insights
  • Drive Product Feedback and Insight:
    • Act as the voice of the community within the Product organization
    • Translate qualitative feedback into structured, actionable insights
    • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to influence prioritization
    • Run tight feedback loops on new features and iterations
    • Communicate roadmap updates and product decisions clearly back to the community
  • Educate, Activate, and Evangelize:
    • Serve as a product evangelist within the community
    • Host live demos, roadmap previews, AMAs, office hours, and onboarding sessions
    • Create excitement around product evolution grounded in real progress
    • Increase user activation, feature adoption, and retention
    • Support expansion through product fluency and education
  • Build, Prototype, and Experiment:
    • Spin up scrappy prototypes, AI-powered workflows, and lightweight experiments to test ideas live
    • Use AI tools to rapidly mock up features, flows, and product concepts
    • Build alongside users during live conversations to validate hypotheses
    • Ensure community insights translate into measurable product and revenue impact
What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or similar experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience building and managing online communities, preferably within startups, SaaS, or the venture ecosystem
  • Experience sourcing and implementing community platforms
  • Experience running webinars, AMAs, office hours, and user meetups
  • AI fluent and AI curious; comfortable using AI tools to build demos, mockups, and experiments quickly
  • Comfortable demoing software live
  • Able to translate ambiguous or messy feedback into structured product insights
  • Thinks in systems and outcomes, not just engagement metrics
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from zero
  • Scrappy, hands-on, and execution-oriented
  • Naturally connects community efforts to business impact
  • Strong communicator who can engage technical and non-technical audiences alike
