Full Job Description
About the role:

We are looking for a full-time Product Manager. As a Product Manager at CanadaHelps, you will help charities connect with more supporters while enabling donors to discover, support, and give to the causes they care about. You'll shape products and experiences that reduce friction, build trust, and foster a lifelong journey of generosity, helping make CanadaHelps the destination for giving in Canada.

Reporting to the VP, Product & Experience, you'll work closely with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to discover customer needs, prioritize opportunities, and deliver products that create measurable value for donors, charities, and CanadaHelps. You'll be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making data-informed decisions, and balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. This is an existing vacancy.

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. Where an offer falls within this range is determined through the interview process. Candidates are benchmarked by the hiring team based on role scope, relevant experience, skill alignment, and expected impact, using consistent and objective criteria.

This position is remote but may require to be in-office in Toronto for team collaborations.

What you'll Do: (Primary Responsibilities)
  • Develop a deep understanding of donors, charities, and their needs through customer research, analytics, market insights, and experimentation to inform product strategy and prioritization.
  • Translate customer, market, and business insights into product opportunities that create measurable value for donors, charities, and CanadaHelps.
  • Define the product strategy, roadmap, and priorities for your product area, partnering with Design, Engineering, and stakeholders to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Own product delivery in partnership with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams, balancing customer value, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
  • Proactively identify and communicate delivery risks, scope changes, and trade-offs, adapting plans and approaches to keep release goals and outcomes on track.
  • Own the end-to-end donor (D2C) journey, identifying opportunities to improve acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and overall customer value.
  • Write clear product requirements, prioritize and manage the product backlog, and partner with Engineering and Design throughout discovery, delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Measure product performance using data, customer feedback, and experimentation, continuously learning and iterating to improve outcomes.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in fundraising, technology, AI, and digital product management, bringing forward new ideas that improve our products and customer experience.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-centric product culture by building strong relationships, communicating effectively, and influencing decisions across teams.

How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Help more Donors discover, support, and build lasting relationships with the causes they care about.
  • Enable charities to reach more supporters, raise more funds, and amplify their impact.
  • Deliver products and experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and grounded in customer insight.
  • Use data, experimentation, and continuous learning to drive measurable improvements in customer and business outcomes.

What you will bring to the table (experience):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4+ years of experience managing digital products from discovery through delivery.
  • Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, and success metrics, and using data to measure outcomes and inform decisions.
  • Strong customer discovery skills, with experience using research, analytics, and experimentation to inform product decisions.
  • Experience prioritizing product backlogs and partnering with Engineering, Design, and cross-functional teams to balance customer value, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience using Agile product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, or similar.
  • Experience using product analytics tools to measure customer behaviour and product performance.
  • A passion for using technology to create meaningful impact for customers, charities, and communities.
