Full Job Description
Job Title: Product Manager

Job Category: Engineering

Time Type: Full time

Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret

Employee Type: Regular

Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%

Type of Travel: Local

Anticipated Posting End: 12/30/2026

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Manager to join our dynamic team.  As a Product Manager, you will lead the strategic execution of multi-tier roadmaps, synchronizing Java microservices and React UI development into executable release cycles. You will serve as the primary authority on scope and "Go/No-Go" decisions, collaborating with engineering leadership to manage the release train and navigate shifting government priorities. By owning the Verification & Validation (V&V) process, you will ensure end-to-end requirement traceability while shielding the development team from scope creep through rigorous backlog orchestration. Additionally, you will monitor CI/CD and Kubernetes deployment health to translate technical performance into clear operational readiness reports for program stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap & Milestone Execution:

    • Build and manage multi-tier roadmaps that synchronize Java microservice development with React UI delivery. Translate high-level "Mission Capabilities" into executable 3, 6, and 12-month release cycles, specifically accounting for cross-team technical dependencies and hardware lead times.

  • Release & Scope Management:

    • Act as the final authority on project scope. Collaborate with the Chief Engineer, Architects, and Product Owners to manage the "Release Train." This includes making "Go/No-Go" decisions on specific features, managing scope creep, and negotiating technical trade-offs when government priorities shift.

  • Requirement Traceability (V&V):

    • Own the end-to-end mapping of government requirements down to individual feature de-comps. You will lead the Verification & Validation (V&V) process to ensure all code is traceable to a mission need, providing the documentation necessary for formal system acceptance.

  • Backlog & Priority Orchestration:

    • Protect the development team's focus by serving as the primary filter for changing requirements. When priorities shift, you will rapidly re-align backlogs across all Product Owners to ensure the teams stay on high-impact tasks without compromising the core architecture.

  • Deployment & Operational Readiness:

    •  Oversee the health of GitLab CI/CD pipelines and the status of Kubernetes environments (Test, Staging, and Production). You must be able to translate technical deployment metrics into clear reports on release readiness and operational risk for program leadership.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner or Team Lead in an Agile environment. Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or GovTech is preferred.

  • Technical Literacy:

    •  Must have a working knowledge of modern software stacks. You need to understand how CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (K8s/Docker), and microservice architectures impact the pace and sequencing of feature delivery.

  • Space Domain Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with satellite C2, ground station operations, or geospatial visualization (e.g., CesiumJS or STK).

  • Agile Stack:

    • Expert-level proficiency in GitLab for issue tracking, milestone management, and boards (or equivalent experience in Jira/ADO).

  • Systems Thinking:

    • Ability to look at a complex orbital mechanics requirement and identify exactly which backend services and frontend components need to change to support it.

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance

  • Willing to be submitted for and obtain a Top Secret security clearance

Desired:

  • DevSecOps Culture: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and how to manage product releases in secure, containerized environments.

  • Data-Driven: Ability to define and track KPIs for system performance and user engagement in a C2 environment.

  • Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of presenting complex technical roadmaps to senior executive and government leadership.
