Product Manager - Deposition Product Group

The Deposition Product Group has a strong history of innovation, customer partnership, and product leadership across a market-leading portfolio of semiconductor manufacturing technologies.

As a Product Manager, you will help define, manage, and execute product strategies that sustain existing products while driving development of new products, features, and options aligned to short- and long-term product roadmaps. This highly cross-functional role works closely with hardware engineering, technology development, marketing, software, platform engineering, service, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to shape product direction, ensure execution readiness, and support business growth.

The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, technical depth, structured problem solving, and the ability to lead through influence across multiple organizations and levels of management. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational discipline, customer focus, and the confidence to guide teams of highly technical contributors toward clear product outcomes.

What you'll do

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the product line lifecycle from strategic planning through tactical execution. Key responsibilities include:

Strategic
• Drive product roadmap, strategy, and vision for new products, product enhancements, and options that meet target application and customer requirements.
• Partner with product marketing, product line leadership, technology development, and customer-facing teams to define the product portfolio, lifecycle strategy, and plan of record.
• Assess market, technology, customer, and competitive trends to inform product strategy, roadmap priorities, and investment decisions.

Operational
• Define and maintain product and option offerings, including cost, pricing, configuration, and commercialization guidance.
• Ensure quality product delivery by reviewing customer configurations, non-standard requests, and readiness for execution.
• Sustain and support products through lifecycle management, including end-of-life planning, obsolescence mitigation, and product lifetime extension options.
• Lead product lifecycle documentation, customer notifications, and internal communications needed to support product changes and releases.
• Review engineering change requests, configuration changes, and business cases to ensure alignment with product strategy and customer commitments.
• Manage product cost, profitability, and value delivery in support of business objectives and product margin targets.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Ability to connect technical, commercial, customer, and operational inputs into a clear product direction.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics and influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to develop clear messages, value propositions, business cases, and executive-level collateral.
• Excellent collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills, with a bias for action and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems with broad business impact in a fast-moving environment.
• Self-starter with a strong curiosity and ability to quickly learn how things work
• Experience leading projects with significant technical complexity, business risk, and cross-functional dependencies.

Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or another technical discipline required; advanced technical degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8+ years with a Master's degree; or 6+ years with a PhD.
  • Demonstrated leadership, program ownership, or product management experience preferred.
