The OpportunityState Street Alpha's End-to-End Product Solutions organization is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Product Strategy, Governance & Reporting Enablement to strengthen how Alpha plans, governs, reports, and communicates its product strategy.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of product management, data, technology, and execution. You will own Alpha's product roadmap and release-note processes, support Service Catalog governance, develop executive and client-facing materials, and build automated reporting solutions that connect product strategy, investment, delivery, and client value.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs AVP of Product Strategy, Governance & Reporting Enablement, you will help provide the structure, data, and reporting required to manage Alpha's end-to-end product portfolio:
Own the Alpha product roadmap
- Lead the quarterly collection, validation, and publication of product roadmaps across Alpha service families
- Maintain internal, executive, sales, and client-facing roadmap views
- Coordinate roadmap content across Alpha Services, Alpha Data Services, and Charles River Development
Lead roadmap and reporting automation
- Develop scalable Power BI, Jira, Excel, SharePoint, and Power Platform solutions
- Connect strategic initiatives to product features, funding, delivery milestones, applications, and client demand
- Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and historical tracking
- Replace manual presentation and reporting processes with governed, repeatable workflows
Manage release notes and product communications
- Lead the quarterly Alpha release-note process
- Reconcile roadmap commitments against completed delivery
- Convert technical releases into concise client and business-impact narratives
- Coordinate leadership review, publication, and organization-wide distribution
Support product investment and financial analysis
- Analyze business cases, product features, capabilities, estimates, approved funding, and impacted applications
- Build reporting at the business-case, feature, service-family, client, and application levels
- Support annual planning, budget scenarios, funding prioritization, and product P&L analysis
- Partner with Finance and product leadership to improve investment visibility and decision-making
- Lead product P&L analysis; develop and refine methodologies for allocating product revenue, expenses, and investment across Alpha service families
Support Service Catalog governance
- Coordinate governance meetings, agendas, materials, decisions, and action items
- Review catalog changes with product owners and cross-functional stakeholders
- Maintain clear standards for service capabilities, offerings, and supporting documentation
- Improve transparency and auditability through structured governance workflows
Develop executive and client-facing materials
- Prepare materials for executive meetings, QBRs, Client Advisory Boards, product offsites, and client presentations
- Distill complex product, financial, and technical information into clear executive narratives
- Create polished visualizations, dashboards, and decision-support materials
- Support rapid-turnaround strategic requests from senior leadership
Drive continuous improvement of cross-functional product operations
- Coordinate initiatives across Product, Technology, Finance, Sales, Global Delivery, and Client Solutions
- Organize product forums, town halls, offsites, and strategic planning sessions
- Document processes and build sustainable operating models
- Reduce manual effort while improving reporting speed, accuracy, and usability
- Track decisions, owners, dependencies, and action items through completion
- Coach and coordinate analysts and junior team members supporting reporting and automation
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, technology, information systems, or equivalent experience
- Experience in product operations, business analysis, portfolio reporting, governance, or financial-services technology
- Strong ability to translate complex product and financial data into compelling executive and client narratives
- Proficiency with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and dashboard development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Jira, Jira Analytics, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, Power BI, including dashboard development. SharePoint, other Microsoft 365 tools and Co-pilot suite
- Understanding of product roadmaps, development lifecycles, funding processes, and governance
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile information across multiple systems
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Experience in investment servicing, asset-management technology, or front-to-back financial platforms is preferred
- Familiarity with State Street Alpha, Alpha Services, Alpha Data Platform, or Charles River
Salary Range: $65,000 - $113,750 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
