The Product Integration Lead is an influential leadership position within the Product & Program Management team. This person is responsible for coordination and delivery of new Aurora Driver features and performance improvements across software releases. The Product Integration Lead must have a strong technical background, deep understanding of customer needs, superior communication skills, and ability to manage complex dependencies across programs and workstreams.

In this role, you will
  • Quarterly Release Planning: Partner closely with Business Development, Product Strategy, Engineering, and Operations to prioritize quarterly business outcomes based on customer needs. Translate business outcomes into software-wide objectives. Initiate and execute planning (in collaboration with team of Product/Program Managers) to conclude which quarterly business outcomes can be achieved based on bottoms-up engineering plans.
  • Feature Release Execution: Define the scope of quarterly software releases in terms of new features and performance improvements. Aggregate status and risks across all cross-functional programs to project what can be achieved in the upcoming release. This role is critical in helping senior leadership understand what to focus on and where help and decisions are needed given the vast scope of work in each release.
  • Performance Metrics: Partner closely with Data Science, Business Development, Product Strategy, and Engineering to establish and track progress against key metrics. Ensure the organization has a clear understanding of how these metrics translate to customer success, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Communications: Produce artifacts that communicate the state of software execution work for consumption by the broad software organization as well as partner teams like MarComm, Safety, Operations, Business Development, Investor Relations, and more. Synthesize and communicate status and risks to senior leadership. Present key tradeoffs and drive decisions.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and manage key dependencies in delivering customer outcomes. This includes work needed to deliver onboard software, offboard tools, customer experience targets, safety targets, and operational SOPs. This position operates at a very high level, and is instrumental in identifying dependencies that others may not observe.
  • Software / Product Ops Liaison: Partner closely with Product Operations to forecast development fleet demand and serve as the arbiter for tradeoffs.
  • Risk Escalation & Mitigation: Have a strong handle on key risks in delivering business outcomes, and decide which risks are appropriate to escalate to senior leadership. Provide mitigation strategies and specific areas where help is needed. Frame tradeoffs associated with the risk.
  • Product & Program Best-Practice Champion: Serve as a key thought leader within the Product & Program Management team and across partner teams like Design and Product Strategy. Develop best-in-class artifacts for product requirements definition, program reporting, decision making, etc. Serve as a mentor for more junior product & program managers.
