Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000

The Product Innovation & Strategic Planning Officer oversees the development, optimization, and management of all retail banking consumer and business deposit products at Apple Bank. This role leads product innovation and strategic planning efforts, including deposit product consolidation, customer communications strategy, and partnership with Marketing to position and promote product offerings. The Officer collaborates with the Director of Retail Sales to identify market opportunities and execute targeted sales campaigns that drive deposit growth. Accountability for the customer experience is central, with performance measured through analysis of complaints, social media sentiment, and customer satisfaction data. As a leader within Branch Administration, the incumbent supports retail branch objectives and key performance indicators and partners closely with the Director of Retail Sales and the Director of Retail Business Banking & Leadership Development to advance core sales and service initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Branch Administration, Digital Banking, and Marketing to design and support deposit products and services that resonate with diverse customer segments, enhance the customer experience, and support relationship acquisition, deposit growth, business development, and branch expansion.
  • Partner with the Director of Retail Sales to develop and execute deposit product strategies, sales campaigns, and related programs across the Retail Banking network.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach by analyzing satisfaction metrics and complaint data and delivering insights and reporting to Branch Administration leadership.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to products, service delivery, and customer communications to enable sustainable growth in both customer relationships and deposit balances.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership across Branch Administration and Marketing to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans that expand consumer and business banking relationships.
  • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance departments to ensure all product development and marketing initiatives meet regulatory requirements and align with the Banks customer-first standards.
  • Build and sustain strong cross-functional relationships with department and division leaders to promote alignment, transparency, and effective collaboration.
  • Provide reporting to senior management on customer satisfaction spanning deposit products, services, and distribution channels.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 7 + years of experience in retail banking.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute both short- and long-term business strategies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational strategies and operational techniques, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and a solid understanding of Apple Bank products and services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal policies, procedures, controls, and operational practices.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Results-driven mindset supported by sound business acumen.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise, and professional presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
