Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Product Director, Trusted Autonomy Product to join our team to drive the development, deployment, and adoption of our Trusted Space Autonomy Product. The Product Director will own the engineering, software architecture, product development, and deployment of the Trusted Space Autonomy Product. The Product Director will own the full product lifecycle-from ideation through commercialization-ensuring that our Trusted Space Autonomy Product is not just technically sound, but creates safe, reliable, and high-value solutions for our customers. This position will require technical expertise, collaboration expertise, and prior leadership experience leading cross-functional teams in developing products. As Trusted Space enters its next evolution of growth, the Trusted Space Autonomy Product will play a vital role in the strategic direction of the company resulting in next generation capabilities being delivered to our nation's warfighters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Autonomy Roadmap: Own the product roadmap for the Trusted Space Autonomy Product. This includes balancing requirements that are central to the future of the core autonomy product.
  • Technical Specification: Translate high-level customer requirements into detailed technical specs, features, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Data-Driven Prioritization: Leverage data, operational metrics, and KPIs to identify failure modes, measure performance, and prioritize engineering focus to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Lead cross-functional teams spanning systems, software, test, and aerospace engineers.
  • Field Readiness & Deployment: Partner closely with Business Development, Program Execution, and other external facing teams to translate real-world constraints into product requirements, experiments, commissioning, and deployment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the product evangelist, communicating technical progress, milestones, and roadmap status to executive leadership, partners, and customers.
  • Technical-Marketing Bridge: Provide the "source of truth" for technical documentation, release notes, and user guides to ensure internal teams and customers are prepared for rollouts.

Qualifications
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • 10+ years of product management, technical program management experience, or leading technical teams
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Autonomy related fields
  • Direct experience with Agile Methodology
  • Direct experience architecting autonomous systems or complex AI/ML systems
  • Mission First Mindset - A strong desire to tackle our customers' greatest problems to deliver innovative capabilities to the warfighter
  • Extreme Ownership - Ability to own the performance and results of the product while embedding the same level of ownership and responsibility throughout the product personnel as they execute the product development

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $250,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
