Responsibilities

What you'll be able to do:

Product Development Verification and Validation Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Allen Park, Michigan). Support the product development and system integration processes by developing test methods for automated execution, implementing tests using Hardware in the Loop equipment such as dSPACE, documenting and reviewing execution reports, reporting incidents, and tracking software updates to fix issues. Develop expertise in software test design and have advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning as well as Diagnostic testing, electrical and communication architectures, Ford's embedded software processes, and the Global Product Development System.

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Leading system-level or component level software testing and applying quality-assurance methodologies to design, execute, and automate end-to-end ADAS, AD, or Cluster validation and Diagnostic testing campaigns across ECUs, ensuring traceability to functional requirements. 2. Managing the software development lifecycle (CMMI) and implementing Agile practices to plan releases, run sprints, or integrate CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and delivery. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Validating software using dSPACE SCALEXIO or NI HIL simulators to configure benches, execute functional, Diagnostics, system, regression test suites. 2. Developing bench automation using dSPACE, ControlDesk, or automation tools to create repeatable test sequences and integrate tests into verification pipelines. 2 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Applying ASPICE software process practices and ISO 26262 functional-safety requirements to author safety-aligned test plans, diagnostics/UDS tests, and ensure requirements-to-test traceability. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Designing and executing mini, partial and deep sleep/wakeup test sequences on multiple ECUs including IPC (Driver Information Cluster), BCM, ECG in HIL environments to validate power-state transitions, wake latency and quiescent current, and produce reproducible, traceable test evidence. 2. Leading the final software sign off process across multiple ECUs including IPC (Driver Information Cluster), BCM and ECG by enforcing end to end requirements traceability, validating completeness of test evidence, and driving defect identification and closure prior to release. 3. Supporting and presenting diagnostic cluster work products during audit reviews to obtain formal system level approval for production releases. 4. Supporting ADAS, DAT, or Cluster feature testing to validate Distance to Empty (DTE), welcome strategy, Cluster, Chimes, Warning safety & entertainment related features, automated, remote parking, driver-monitoring and surround and blind-spot camera functions at the vehicle system level (HIL and vehicle tests). 5. Supporting Diagnostic UDS protocol testing including CAN, HW DTC Testing and DID, PID, RID, or IOControl testing. 6. Leading JIRA process improvements by contributing solutions to standardize issue handling for Validation teams and improve cross organizational defect workflows. 7. Implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to establish enterprise-scale agile workflows, coordinate cross-functional streams, and align test activities across multiple teams.

We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $169,982.52/yr.
