Product Development Program Manager - Vehicle Launch & Change Control

Overview / Summary

The Product Development Program Manager is responsible for broad ownership across a single vehicle program, including program planning, control, studio, prototype, and launch phases. This individual contributor role requires cross-functional collaboration to drive issue resolution, critical decisions, and program execution. The position supports future vehicle launches and ongoing production by managing milestones, engineering changes, supplier coordination, and program deliverables while meeting business plan targets, launch readiness, and vehicle quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage program milestones, decisions, and deliverables across a single vehicle program.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with Engineering, Studio, Marketing, Manufacturing, New Model Programs, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Capacity Planning, Launch teams, and suppliers.
  • Manage and track Change Request (CR) approvals.
  • Generate CR reporting decks and track overall program activities.
  • Maintain Cost Detail Document (CDD) trackers.
  • Create CDDs, verify cost capture against the Finance Bill of Materials (BOM), and route documents for approval.
  • Execute Engineering Change Management (ECM).
  • Review Engineering Change Notice (ECN) distributions, assess impacts to program-specific content, communicate implementation timing to assembly facilities, and track inventory to minimize obsolescence.
  • Process initial and change control releases for supplier-owned service parts.
  • Communicate release data to the CAD team for Teamcenter 3D model updates.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings, including Design & Function (DF), Change Control (CC), Software Change Control, and Service meetings.
  • Coordinate supplier activities, identify action items, and track Total Value Management (TVM) savings in CRID.
  • Execute general program management and ongoing production support activities.
