We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive engineering and a passion for innovation. This role involves designing, developing, and improving products to meet customers' needs and enhance the company's market position.
What you Will do in Your Role- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends and customer needs.
- Utilize CAD software to view and analyze detailed product designs and engineering drawings.
- Understand simulations and stress tests to evaluate product durability.
- Implement improvements based on testing results and feedback.
- Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the development process.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in product development or similar role; other levels of experience may be considered
- Plastic injection molding engineering experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software such as NX, CATIA, Visualization, or similar.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
What Will Put You Ahead- Project Management skills
- Experience with prototype development and testing
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience with Exterior Decorative Automotive Body Parts
- Experience with Nissan development processes/systems
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Previous plant experience is a plus
