Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
This role provides a unique opportunity to develop expertise across the entire product architecture—from electron optics and imaging systems to vacuum, robotics, controls, and software—while working closely with design engineers to influence the development of next-generation semiconductor eBeam tools.
The Systems Integration Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and advancing a fleet of engineering development tools that enable product design, integration, and validation activities. This role spans the full product lifecycle, including legacy tool support, next-generation module integration, system upgrades, and ongoing fleet maintenance. The position requires a hands-on engineer with strong technical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a passion for learning complex multidisciplinary systems.
- Own and support an engineering tool fleet that enables development activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Support all phases of the product lifecycle, including legacy system installation, next-generation module integration, system upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
- Execute system installation and bring-up activities by following established procedures and working closely with facilities, operations/service, and engineering teams. Candidates should have experience with semiconductor equipment installation or manufacturing.
- Collaborate with design engineers to integrate and validate next-generation hardware and software modules. Develop expertise over time in system architecture, subsystem interactions, and integration methodologies.
- Perform hands-on integration, troubleshooting, testing, and optimization activities across multiple subsystems, including: Optical systems, Electron-optical systems, Imaging and detector systems, High-voltage electronics, Vacuum systems, Wafer handling and transfer systems, Machine control and automation software
- Develop a broad functional understanding of the complete product and become a technical resource capable of independently diagnosing complex system-level issues.
- Drive innovative analytical approaches and implement practical solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Maintain high fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, hardware replacement, calibration, and performance data analysis.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities across engineering priorities, maintenance schedules, and integration projects.
- Participate in customer support activities, including "Fly-and-Fix" assignments requiring rapid diagnosis and resolution of system issues in the field. Travel up to 25%.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
Base Pay Range: $95,000.00 - $161,500.00 Annually
