This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of Ford Motor Company in the Program Control group that guides development of all our power units (electrified transmissions). EV programs are growing tremendously, and we need qualified people to help us succeed in this critical new area. The Program Control team project manages all of the new programs around the globe, project proposals, cost savings ideas, milestone reviews and much more. You would be responsible for your projects and programs, with report-outs up to senior levels of management at milestone checkpoints.

Responsibilities

In this position...
  • Lead on eDrive unit/Generator Industrialization, control cost, timing, weight for each milestone/gateway.
  • Manage milestone cadence within Global Product Development System parameters.
  • Lead and drive supplier for Design Change Request NTE and quote back, work with Cost Estimator to get OCE for each DCR.
  • Manage FEDE BOM for end items, cost/weight, lead 2-pager/CMF approval for DCR.
  • Lead supplier development timing to meet program key milestone.
  • Provide Finance team support.

What you'll do...
  • Manage TPV and DCV phase parts order and make sure supplier deliver on time.
  • Lead and manage SSSOS (Sub-System Sign-off Sheet) for each milestone deliverables.
  • Lead milestone deliverable assessments, report-outs (up to Director level), and papers.
  • Engage in new business proposals & business cases.
  • Develop & maintain project schedules.
  • Lead or support the Transmission/Generator Product Management Team for your commodity.
  • Act as transmission/generator lead in Vehicle Program meeting.
  • Coordinate with Team of Four (PD, Purchasing, Finance & Cost Ops) groups
    Support part release.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with automotive eDrive units.

  • Clear and concise communication both written and spoken
  • Microsoft Office application fluency (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)

  • FEDE BOM (Ford specific)
  • Teamcenter / 3DX (Ford specific)
  • Power Apps (ED&T requests)
