Full Job Description
About Lean In & The Sandberg Bernthal Family Foundation

The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) works to build a more equal and resilient world. We bring people together to support each other through four initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program.

Through our community, research-based content, and programs, we help women and allies build the skills, confidence, and networks they need to reach their full potential. We believe a more equal world is possible - and that it will take us working together to create it. While the majority of your work will focus on Lean In, this role offers the opportunity to drive impact across multiple mission-driven initiatives.

Role Overview

We're seeking a talented Product Designer to craft intuitive, beautiful, and impactful experiences for our digital products. You'll be instrumental in shaping how millions of women interact with Lean In's platforms, ensuring our products are accessible, engaging, and empowering.

What You'll Do
    • Lead the end-to-end design process - from research and concept development to prototyping, testing, and final implementation
    • Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to deeply understand the needs of our community
    • Translate insights into clear wireframes and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile using Figma
    • Build and evolve design systems and patterns that ensure consistency and scalability across products
    • Organize design files, documentation, and workflows with precision and clarity
    • Partner closely with product and engineering to bring ideas to life
    • Advocate for users while balancing business goals and technical feasibility
    • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback with openness and focus
    • Generate innovative ideas that advance Lean In's mission and strengthen engagement
    • Stay current on design trends, tools, accessibility standards, and inclusive design best practices

What You Will Bring
    • 4+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating user-centered thinking and strong execution
    • Expert proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and design systems
    • Exceptional organization skills and the ability to manage complex design systems and workflows
    • A strong foundation in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture
    • Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable solutions
    • A creative mindset grounded in strategy and impact
    • Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and inclusive design principles
    • Experience prototyping and iterating based on testing and feedback
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
    • A genuine commitment to Lean In's mission to inspire and equip women to lead
    • Alignment with the initiatives of the Sandberg Bernthal Family Foundation, including building resilience and creating social impact

What We Will Offer You
    • Base Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 based on experience, skills, and qualifications
    • Performance Bonus: Up to 15% of base salary annually
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k) with a 4% employer match
    • Generous paid time off
    • Additional benefits designed to support well-being and long-term success
