Your role at Baxter
As the Product Deployment Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing how Baxter’s Implementation Engineering organization deploys technical products across the U.S. service region. You will work closely with the Implementation and Deployment Managers—each leading field engineering teams across different geographies—and partner with the project management organization, who drive scheduling and customer facing execution. This role is operational at its core: focused on resource planning, scheduling accuracy, performance measurement, and improving the processes that support deployment of Baxter’s Care Communications and Infusion Therapy solutions.
You will spend most of your time collaborating with peer engineering managers to increase operational efficiencies, maximize utilization, align project priorities, and balance staffing, while also working closely with project management teams to ensure schedules are accurate, efficient, and aligned to customer commitments. This position backfills a long tenured leader who retired and now represents an opportunity to modernize resource management, strengthen the employee onboarding process, and drive KPIs such as utilization, staffing balance, and forecast accuracy. With strong visibility across engineering, project management, clinical, and commercial teams—and a supportive, long tenured leadership group—this role offers immediate impact, operational influence, and a clear path for future growth within Implementation Engineering and the broader organization.
This role can be based anywhere in the continental United States. The team spans multiple time zones, generally operating on Eastern and Central hours, with flexibility for Pacific‑based candidates. Standard working hours align to EST, with occasional adjustments depending on project needs.
What you’ll be doing
Develop and maintain resource allocation strategies to match technical skillsets with project needs across multiple regions.
Oversee weekly engineering schedules, monitor workload, and forecast resource needs based on pipeline and business priorities.
Implement training plans and review documentation standards while providing coaching to ensure consistent, high‑quality deployment execution.
Design onboarding and continuous education programs to grow technical capabilities aligned with evolving product and customer requirements.
Identify and execute process enhancements that improve utilization, reduce cancellations, and streamline scheduling workflows.
Partner with Sales, Service, Project Management, and Clinical teams to align resource planning with rollout strategies and customer timelines.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and quality standards across all deployment activities.
Drive key KPIs including utilization, staffing balance, and forecast accuracy; support data analysis initiatives (Power BI experience a plus).
What you’ll bring
3+ years of experience in implementation engineering, project management, or resource management; healthcare or technical deployment experience preferred.
Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD, and Visio; familiarity with Windows platforms, server infrastructure, and enterprise networking helpful.
Strong understanding of resource planning, scheduling, and operational process improvement.
Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive operational enhancements, including initiatives that improve forecast accuracy and margin.
Knowledge of Care Communications or Infusion Therapy platforms is beneficial but can be learned on the job.
Ability to influence peers and manage competing priorities in a schedule‑driven environment; travel required with a valid driver’s license.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with engineering managers, project managers, and customer‑facing teams.
Confidence navigating competing priorities and redirecting resources when needed to support project and business goals.
