The Consumer Shopping Data Science team works on Shopping products on various surfaces including Search, AI Mode, and Gemini.

As a Data Scientist in Consumer Shopping organization, you will evaluate and improve Google's Shopping products. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and product managers on a wide range of problems. You will bring analytical aptitude and statistical methods to the challenges of measuring quality, improving consumer products, and understanding the behavior of our end-users, merchants, and partners. You will develop, organize, and launch experiments and projects across Engineering and Product teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Work with large, complex data sets and solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems. Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
  • Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale. Develop comprehensive understanding of Google data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for both product development and sales activity.
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of leaders and teams, and work closely with Engineers and Product Managers to identify opportunities for design and to assess improvements for Google products.
  • Make business recommendations with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.
  • Research and develop analysis and methods to improve the quality of Google's user facing products.
