Full Job Description
Fivetran is seeking a Product Attorney to join its Legal team, supporting the mission to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. As Product Counsel, you will provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice throughout the product development lifecycle, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Privacy, and Go-to-Market teams. This role is central to enabling innovation while managing risk across Fivetran's evolving suite of data and analytics solutions. Reporting to the Director - Legal Product & Strategy, you will advise on a broad range of legal issues, including intellectual property, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory considerations. You will review new products and features, develop scalable legal guidance and training, and collaborate with cross-functional legal colleagues to address complex, cross-cutting matters. Success in this role requires strong legal judgment, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable guidance for technical and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a J.D., active U.S. state bar membership, and 4-7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies. Experience advising on open-source software licensing, compliance, and governance, as well as leveraging AI tools to enhance legal workflows, is highly valued. This is an opportunity to shape the legal foundation of a company at the forefront of data infrastructure, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
