We are seeking a Product Compliance Consultant to support Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and business stakeholders in building and maintaining compliant-by-design products in a fast-moving payments environment. This role is part of the Legal & Compliance organization and is responsible for conducting analysis, providing day-to-day compliance guidance, and helping teams operationalize regulatory requirements within the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings payments compliance experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business and product considerations. This person works collaboratively across functions, escalates issues appropriately, and helps support scalable compliance processes and controls.

Your mission is to support BHN's product and technology teams by helping embed compliance considerations into the product lifecycle, identifying regulatory impacts, and assisting with controls, monitoring, and reporting that enable responsible innovation and confident product launches.

Responsibilities:

Product, Technology, and Regulatory Support
  • Support Product and Technology teams by providing compliance input during product development and change processes.
  • Advise product managers, engineers, and business partners on applicable regulatory requirements, control considerations, and implementation approaches.
  • Review new products, features, and market developments to identify potential regulatory impacts and raise relevant considerations to management.
  • Translate regulatory, privacy, and financial crime requirements into practical business requirements, launch considerations, and change support materials.
  • Help track control implementation activities and follow up with stakeholders to support timely completion before launching and during product changes.
  • Conduct regulatory change impact assessments and gap analyses, with support from management as needed.

AI, Data, and Automation Support
  • Support compliance reviews involving AI-enabled products and internal compliance workflows, with a focus on transparency, oversight, and responsible use.
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes through automation, analytics, and data-supported monitoring.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams to help incorporate compliance considerations into system design, data usage, and operational processes.
  • Assist with the development of dashboards, workflow tracking, and evidence-based monitoring to improve compliance visibility.

Audit, Risk, and Program Support
  • Support remediation efforts for compliance audit and risk issues affecting Product and Technology teams.
  • Coordinate audit requests, gather documentation, and track action items in partnership with Compliance, Product, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare reporting, metrics, and status updates that help management monitor compliance risk and program performance.
  • Escalate issues, implementation delays, or potential control gaps to management in a timely manner.

What This Role Offers
  • The opportunity to support product compliance efforts in a dynamic fintech and payments environment.
  • Exposure to cross-functional product, technology, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Experience working on scalable processes, product governance, and emerging technology compliance considerations.
  • A path to deepen expertise in payments compliance, product risk, and regulatory change management.

Qualifications:

Required
  • 8+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, product compliance, product risk, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of the payments industry and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them using a practical, risk-based approach.
  • Experience working with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and business stakeholders on controls, issue resolution, or product-related compliance matters.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills in a matrixed environment.
  • Working knowledge of key regulatory domains, including money transmission or remittance, consumer protection in payments, AML, sanctions, and privacy.

Tech-Forward Attributes
  • Familiarity with modern product and technology environments, including development lifecycles, release processes, and systems-based controls.
  • Ability to use data, workflow tools, or reporting to improve compliance monitoring and decision support.
  • Experience assessing technology-related risks and controls across digital products, data usage, and operational processes.
  • Comfort collaborating with technical teams on integrations, automation, telemetry, and monitoring evidence.

Preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional product environment.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience preparing dashboards, metrics, or management reporting that improves compliance visibility and tracking.

Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel and work across time zones as needed.
