Job Description The Procurement Supervisor supports the sourcing capabilities and supply chain for the organization while effectively leading the purchasing team and ensuring the business has the necessary supplies on time to meet customer and production needs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Maintains and practices the safety culture, putting safety first.
- Develops sound, cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials used in the business and guides team through execution.
- Maintains positive relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
- Evaluates, analyzes, and selects vendors, products, and services.
- Coordinates with internal teams to understand supply needs.
- Oversees the procurement process from start to finish.
- Negotiates contracts and acquires cost-efficient pricing without compromising quality.
- Evaluates spending operations to enhance product quality and delivery timeliness.
- Develops and implements strategies to optimize supply chain performance, recognizing total cost implications
- Collaborates with division procurement and legal departments to ensure favorable contract terms.
- Maintains metrics and analyzes data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Resolves discrepancies that arise relating pricing, warranty claims, failure to comply with specifications, or over shipments and negotiates return items no longer needed by the plant.
- Complies with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and company policies and requirements.
- Ability to effectively train others to create a cross functional team.
- Manages and documents employee performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience:- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- 5+ years of Purchasing experience with experience leading teams.
- Minimum 3 years of aerospace experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- ERP Systems experience required; Syteline ERP experience a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite w/advanced Excel skills.
Level of Education & Qualifications:- 4-year College Degree or equivalent experience.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $100000 to $120000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
