Full Job Description
The Procurement Specialist III supports procurement execution and supplier management for the SMR-300 program, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services to meet project requirements. This role is suited for an experienced procurement professional who can independently manage sourcing activities, execute purchase orders, and drive supplier performance within a highly regulated and technically complex environment. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to reliable, schedule-driven project delivery.

Location: Camden, NJ (Onsite)

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive purchasing execution from RFQ through purchase order award for assigned packages, including RFQ development, bid evaluation support, negotiations, and PO/Change Order execution.
  • Develop and manage a strong supplier pipeline; support competitive sourcing, pricing/total cost analysis, and supplier performance management (cost, quality, delivery).
  • Coordinate with engineering, project controls, quality, logistics, and construction to clarify scope, specifications, lead times, and procurement strategy; maintain procurement trackers and provide schedule-driven status reporting.
  • Ensure procurement documentation and supplier quality requirements are audit-ready; maintain complete procurement files and coordinate required inspections, certifications, and documentation submittals.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience may be considered).
  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles supporting large-scale industrial, EPC, or complex capital projects; experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, contract terms and conditions, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience procuring critical equipment and/or engineered components (e.g., pressure vessels, pumps, valves, electrical equipment, fabricated components) and managing supplier deliverables against schedule requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive deliverables in a schedule-driven project environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation skills and the ability to interface with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Must be eligible to work under U.S. federal code 10 CFR 810.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on nuclear new build projects or within NQA-1 quality programs.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes, nuclear procurement specifications, and supplier quality requirements.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) or Project Management (PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience with international sourcing and logistics coordination.
  • Experience in supplier audits, inspections, or quality surveillance.


Compensation:
  • Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $95,000 to $110,000.
