Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Procurement Manager to join our strategic sourcing function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of critical infrastructure, primarily in software, occupancy and professional services. The successful candidate ideally will have additional experience in procurement across indirect spending categories and be able to make frequent shifts in priorities. This role will be based in our Chicago or New York City office, full-time.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of procurement including, sourcing advice, negotiating terms, and managing renewals.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract workflow efforts for new products and services in assigned categories.
  • Draft, issue, and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotes (RFQs), and Request for Information (RFIs).
  • Work closely with Business Owners and internal support stakeholders on sourcing projects to ensure terms meet our standards and mitigate risk.
  • Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, volume and tenure discounts, pay terms, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and penalties, and other commercial terms.
  • Liaise with key business partners to understand sourcing needs.
  • Manage supplier relationships including business reviews, goalsetting, and performance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, supply chain, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing negotiations, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex information and influence stakeholders at all levels, including the C-Suite
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a collaborative, creative, and flexible approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional initiatives, work independently, and manage multiple work streams
  • Understanding of new and evolving technologies to support forward-thinking sourcing strategies
  • Experience with procurement and contract authoring software applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree; MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience of Procurement/Sourcing practices
  • Demonstrated experience using the contract levers available to design supply agreements that are in the best interest of the buyer
  • Experience TCO and ROI modelling
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgment
  • Strong drive and determination to execute and deliver
  • Strong aptitude for influencing without authority and leverage excellent communication skills to persuasively argue a position
  • Proven experience managing internal stakeholders and external 3rd-parties

Salary Range

Annual base salary between

$125,000.00-$135,000.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
