Your role - Will liaise on a daily base with the logistic supervisor to guarantee the raw material and ingredients deliveries without any production shortage.
- To keep up to date the purchasing price in the relevant spreadsheet
- To keep up to date the raw material, ingredient, and packaging codification as per SPF standard
- To negotiate on behalf of SPF USA the purchasing price considering from the price ex work to the transport until the term of payment.
- Will be part of the manufacturing cost assessment by validating/ commenting the raw material availability and cost.
- To permanently investigate any new raw material supplying in term of contact, pricing and opportunity for SPF USA.
- To organize a monthly report to the General Manager regarding the key points of the activity
- To liaise with the purchasing Manager at SPF France in order to coordinate our actions and to provide the information SPF France needs in term of international consolidation.
Ability to interface with all levels of associates in a professional manner both internally and externally.
About you• Expert knowledge of Authority Certifications and Regulations (USDA, FDA, EU, HACCP, ISO, GMP)
• Proficient knowledge of Agricultural industry to identify and act to anticipated increases with different Agricultural commodities.
• Specialized in Implementation of strategic positioning for raw material animal by products and key ingredients sourcing by combining domestic and imported materials to ensure availability and price.
• Professional and skilled at Management of importation & exportation of both animal proteins and acquiring ingredients required with Import Permits
• Certified Auditor for processes and regulations for food and feed industry
• Tactical and strategic planner of transportation logistics
• Developer of specialized material for use in Pet Food wet & dry
• Exceptional understanding of process equipment and application related to Pet Food (Dryers, Blenders, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Chippers, Reactors, Centrifuges, Evisceration systems, Animal by Product harvest, Refrigeration)
• Incomparable knowledge of Pet Food processes dry / wet
• Uncompromised perception of the American and Canadian pet food industry
• Excellent comprehension of the Rendering Industry in both the US and Canada due to the competition for the available animal by products utilized in both Industries.
