The Procurement Manager leads oilfield and fleet purchasing activities to ensure equipment, parts, and services are sourced reliably, cost-effectively, and on time. This role oversees vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and day-to-day procurement execution while controlling costs, managing risk, and supporting field operations. The Procurement Manager ensures procurement activities align with budgets, company policies, and operational demands across the full procure-to-pay process.
Job Duties:- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that provide the best value in terms of cost, quality, and reliability.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on pricing trends, product availability, and potential new suppliers.
- Request, review, and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensuring timely deliveries and consistent product quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Resolve any supply issues, delivery delays, or discrepancies.
- Verify all vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring pricing matches purchase orders, contracts, and approved quotes.
- Work closely with accounting and finance teams to resolve invoicing or billing discrepancies.
- Approve or escalate invoices as needed.
- Analyze supply chain workflows and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and minimize errors.
- Implement best practices in procurement and vendor management.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier performance.
- Supervise Procurement Specialist (oversee workflow, review and be responsible for quality of work product, provide training and feedback, ensure productivity and compliance, etc.)
- Other duties and projects, as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing invoices and pricing.
- Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel required).
