Unlike traditional procurement roles, this position focuses heavily on identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and managing a network of independent haulers and delivery teams that support critical home delivery operations. You will play a key role in ensuring capacity readiness, improving service quality, reducing operational costs, and strengthening relationships with both internal stakeholders and delivery partners.

This is a highly visible role that directly impacts customer experience, delivery performance, and network scalability. Success will require a strong blend of procurement expertise, recruiting ability, analytical thinking, and relationship management.

What We Offer

Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Negotiate competitive rates, service agreements, and operating terms with independent contractors and delivery partners
  • Ensure supplier compliance with operational, insurance, safety, and contractual requirements
  • Manage vendor performance and develop corrective action plans when necessary
  • Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service levels

Business Performance & Analytics
  • Analyze market capacity, service requirements, and operational trends to develop sourcing strategies
  • Monitor KPIs related to capacity utilization, service quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency
  • Support forecasting and capacity planning initiatives for peak and seasonal demand periods
  • Utilize data to drive decision-making and continuously improve supplier performance

Stakeholder Management
  • Partner closely with Operations, Customer Experience, and Leadership teams to understand capacity needs and operational priorities
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on carrier availability, sourcing strategy, and market intelligence
  • Support customer-facing discussions related to capacity, service quality, and operational improvements when required

Who We Are Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, carrier sourcing, transportation, logistics, recruiting, or supplier management
  • Experience building and managing networks of independent contractors, carriers, or service providers
