Full Job Description
We currently have an opening for Procurement Manager in our Dyco Electronics facility, located in Hornell, NY. This position is critical to the success of iNRCORE Group and will be responsible for leading the organization's procurement strategy, driving cost-effective purchasing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role reports directly to the Director of Procurement

The ideal candidate for this position should be a strategic leader with deep experience in procurement and supply chain management, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to optimize sourcing processes for efficiency and cost savings. They should have a proven track record of managing budgets, building supplier partnerships, and leading high-performing teams in a manufacturing environment.

Details of the Role: The Procurement Manager oversees the process of buying materials for the company. They optimize costs, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and ensure financial efficiency. They are responsible for mitigating risk while optimizing budget, alongside maintaining high quality standards and a competitive edge.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
  • Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
  • Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
  • Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
  • Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
  • Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
  • Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills
  • Five or more years job-related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in procurement management, supply chain management, or other business related field
  • Outstanding management skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market
  • Superior talent in negotiations and networking
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
