Job description
- Coordinate all the necessary actions in order to secure the supply of the external products from the suppliers with the strict application of the objectives of on-time deliveries, quality and costs.
• Define the supply parameters in ERP item file, and in Supply Chain contracts, consistent with stock targets and the industrial strategy
• Analyze, process, confirm and communicate requirements to the supplier such as OTD
• Ensure that supplier understood demand and/or adjust demand per supplier capacity
• Analyze the impacts of an improvement request, implement the action plan resulting from the impact analysis
• Negotiate dead-lines/quantities with suppliers within the limits of the contract established by Purchasing (negotiation of dead-lines / quantities, but not pricing)
• Participate to the new parts industrialization (NPI) process: Update the data from the different information systems within the scope of activity in order to assure alignment with supply chain demands
• Work closely with Quality, Methods, Purchasing and planning teams to ensure supplier's activity coordination
• Oversee the progress of manufacturing on the supplier's site, manage delivery receipts, follow the flow through to reception of articles, manage administrative disputes and organize supplier reminders
• Manage the flow of returns to the supplier
• Monitor supplier OTD and capacity in line with SPM Baseline analysis
• Measure and analyse supplier performance in coordination with the SPM and if their targets are not being reached, set up internal and external action plans in close cooperation with the purchasing department. Efficiency criteria: Reliability of data communicated
• Establish and implement action plans to limit uncertainties and hazards and to shorten production cycles
• Handle exception messages (send an order, progress, delay, cancel an order, deadline overrun, late starting, ...) resulting from the MRP
• Identify critical shortage and obtain the get-well and recovery plans
• Suggest solutions in case of shortages
• Communicate supplier's plans to our internal customers (assembly line and spare department)
• Lead and support inventory management as necessary
• Participate:
- To supplier scheduling (capacity and critical materials/ components)
- To the management of Supply transportation plans
- To determine and maintain logistics guidelines
- To write out supply contracts (on SC elements: Batch size, horizon...)
- To manage obsolescence and inventory
Candidate skills & requirements
Profile:
- 3 to 8 years' experience in supply chain
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education
- Skills / knowledge and experience in Project Management
- Good level of production tools analysis
- Good skills with Windows tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Capable to anticipate actions and questions
- Flexibility and easy adaptation to locations and needs
- Ability to use ERP and IT Systems (BAAN, E-Supply, SAP)
- Past experience in Aeronautical businesses will be considered as a "plus",
- BASICS or CPIM is a plus
- Fluent in English and French speaking considered a plus
Other:
- Job located in Cincinnati area (office) with capacity to easily travel between various suppliers in USA
- Travel: 25% or as needed to support the supply chain and critical activities
- Confidentiality about SAFRAN activities and actions plans
