About the Role

Dandy is seeking a Procurement Lead to help scale our growing Procurement organization. This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of production materials through inventory planning, purchase order management, supplier coordination, and continuous process improvement.

The Procurement Lead serves as the operational owner for a portfolio of suppliers and materials while partnering closely with Materials Planning, Finance, Manufacturing, and Operations. In addition to executing day-to-day procurement activities, this individual will improve processes, document best practices, develop reporting, and mentor junior procurement team members.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational problems, building scalable processes, and driving measurable business impact.

What You'll Do
Procurement Operations
  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for assigned commodities and suppliers
  • Create, monitor, and expedite purchase orders in NetSuite
  • Manage supplier communication regarding lead times, order confirmations, shortages, and delivery issues
  • Resolve purchase order discrepancies, invoice issues, and receiving exceptions
  • Monitor open purchase orders and drive timely supplier follow-up
Inventory Planning
  • Review inventory health and demand signals to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
  • Execute purchasing decisions based on forecasts, reorder points, and business priorities
  • Partner with Materials Planning to balance inventory investment with service levels
  • Monitor supplier performance against lead time and delivery expectations
Supplier Management
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers
  • Identify supply risks and escalate mitigation plans
  • Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with suppliers to improve delivery performance and reduce operational issues
Process Improvement
  • Develop and maintain Procurement SOPs and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to automate or simplify procurement workflows
  • Create dashboards and reporting that improve operational visibility
  • Standardize best practices across the Procurement team
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, AP, Logistics, and Planning teams
  • Communicate inventory risks, supplier constraints, and purchasing priorities
  • Support new product introductions and material transitions
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that improve supply chain performance
Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor and train Procurement Agents and Buyers
  • Share subject matter expertise and establish best practices
  • Support onboarding of new team members
  • Serve as a resource for complex procurement questions and escalations


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or inventory planning experience
  • Experience purchasing production materials in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Experience building reports and analyzing inventory data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing requests in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
  • Experience with demand planning or inventory planning
  • Experience writing SOPs and improving operational processes
  • Experience mentoring or leading team members
  • Knowledge of supplier performance metrics and procurement KPIs
