The Opportunity

The Global IT Procurement Director is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing IT sourcing strategies. This role directs complex sourcing operations, manages senior-level internal and supplier relationships, and ensures alignment with corporate objectives, including cost optimization, risk mitigation, ESG compliance, and digital transformation initiatives. The Global IT Procurement Director will influence organizational strategy, drive innovation, and deliver measurable value through advanced sourcing practices and ensure adherence to local requirements. This role ensures collaboration across functions to align sourcing strategies with business needs and growth objectives, while leading a team of procurement professionals

Your Impact

Strategic Leadership & Planning
  • Develop, communicate, and implement IT sourcing strategies for multiple business.
  • Lead the creation of multi-year IT category plans and budgets aligned with organizational goals of both IT and Procurement.
  • Provide input on departmental strategy and operational objectives to senior leadership.
  • Lead end-to-end category planning and execution across designated category
  • Define procurement channels for each sub-category

Sourcing & Category Management
  • Oversee sourcing activities for IT Services and other outsourced relationships but also other high-value categories using category management as a methodology.
  • Apply advanced technical and market knowledge to solve highly complex sourcing challenges.
  • Lead contract negotiations with key suppliers implementing robust agreements working closely with legal, compliance and all other relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance value delivery.

ESG & Compliance
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with sustainability standards, ethical practices, and diversity objectives.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance metrics for key suppliers and categories.

Digital Transformation & Process Optimization
  • Champion the adoption of digital sourcing tools, analytics, and automation to improve efficiency.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to optimize supplier performance and enhance decision-making
  • Assist in creating dashboards, reports and KPI's to show function progress against goals.
  • Identify opportunities for technology-enabled innovation in sourcing processes.

Financial & Operational Management
  • Deliver cost savings, working capital improvements, and risk mitigation targets.
  • Regularly review and update sourcing policies and procedures to reflect best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
  • Establish and nurture strong partnerships with internal clients and cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with evolving business needs.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion within the procurement team.
  • Develops and mentors a high-performing, diverse procurement team, ensuring succession planning and continuous professional growth.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: 147 500$ - 195 400$

MB & ON: 134 600$ - 184 600$

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: 133 200$ - 176 900$
