Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Commodity Manager (f/m/d) your daily tasks will include managing the cost-effective supply of Production Equipment (CAPEX) in line with company processes based on business requirements. You will collaborate with colleagues from all Siemens Energy Business Areas as well as other collaborators around the globe. With your experience you will play a vital role in developing commodity strategies for sourcing that meet business objectives and ensure the implementation. As part of the broader Indirect Material organization, you will be embedded in our divers and energized team.

How You'll Make an Impact
• Ensure strategic purchasing for CAPEX investments in Production Equipment
• Negotiate pricing and contracts, implementing innovative strategies and managing claims
• Organize global pooling of requirements to leverage purchasing power across projects
• Optimize the cross-functional investment process and support global investment strategies
• Analyze requirements and markets, build a strong supplier portfolio, and lead lifecycle cost analyses
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and foster a collaborative team environment while managing data across divisions

What You Bring
• Successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a commercial program of study with corresponding
• technical knowledge
• 8+ years of professional experience in purchasing as well as cross-functional experience gained through project deployment in an adjacent functional area
• Excellent knowledge of production machinery purchasing and its processes, combined with very good commercial, contract law and

manufacturing technology knowledge as well as familiarity with MS Office and SAP
• Very good spoken and written English and German, other languages are a plus
• Intercultural sensitivity, ideally experience abroad
• Creative, assertive, analytical and motivational attitude driven by customer orientation with strong negotiating and decision-making skills and the ability to build networks
