Role Summary
The Procurement Analytics & Performance Analyst serves as the analytical resource for AmeriVet's Procurement organization. This role translates complex transactional and financial data into actionable insights that drive operational discipline, value realization, and informed decision-making across a multi-location Veterinary network.
The Procurement Data Analyst partners with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and other business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, monitor business performance, identify opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities span multiple areas of the procurement function and may evolve based on organizational priorities, business needs, and strategic initiatives
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for build, analysis, and maintenance of dashboards, reporting, & score cards to measure department performance, compliance, and process effectiveness
Utilize data to drive department accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and operational performance
Lead the development, tracking, and reporting of key department performance and compliance metrics to a variety of business audiences
Define and maintain data management standards to ensure the delivery of consistent, accurate business analysis and metrics for key department activities, including (but not limited to):
Supplier spend & sales
Inventory balance, shrink, & utilization
Contract compliance
Rebate forecasts & accruals
Savings & cost avoidance
Exception trends
Ensure department access to all relevant internal & external data necessary for strategic initiatives, i.e. spend analysis, COGS/Margin comparison, RFP comparison, etc.
Perform monthly review of P&L COGS activity including accruals, and category COGS rate
Support data integrity standards across procurement owned data, identify & resolve master data inconsistencies impacting reporting and decision-making
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and financial acumen with a focus on COGS, margin, and operational controls
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience working with large transactional datasets
Experience with data modeling, SQL, Power Query, and Power BI
High attention to detail paired with the ability to identify trends and insights
Proven ability to manage multiple analytical workstreams simultaneously, prioritize competing requests, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, multi-location environment with shifting priorities
Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to operational and financial stakeholders
Strong ownership mindset and bias toward action
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
3–6 years of analytical experience in procurement, finance, or supply chain
Experience in healthcare, veterinary, or multi-site environments preferred
Experience working with purchasing systems, ERP, and financial reporting tools
