How You'll Make an Impact

As a Process Technology Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.

In This Role You Will:

  • Engage early and continuously with customers and global commercial and technical teams to support growth strategies.

  • Partner with Process Innovation and pilot facilities to identify and validate Most Effective Technology Plus (METPlus) and Prime value propositions.

  • Drive global alignment of finished products to achieve MET standards.

  • Support manufacturing trials to ensure compliance with process capability targets.

  • Identify and lead global productivity improvement initiatives.

  • Lead projects, providing clear communication on goals, progress, and results.

  • Collaborate effectively across Product Integrity, Formulation Science, Supply Chain, Master Data, R&D, Testing, Global Operations, and third-party manufacturing.

  • Ensure compliance with Lubrizol Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security policies.


Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 4 years of chemical manufacturing engineering experience in process improvement or production.

  • Graduation from the Process Engineer Training Program (required for external candidates).

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver business results.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and technical writing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a continuous improvement mindset.


Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Experience with Aspen Plus, Aspen Properties, and Aspen Exchanger Design and Rating software.

  • Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods.

  • Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
