Analog Devices Federal LLC(ADFED), a wholly owned subsidiary of Analog Devices, Inc., is searching for a Process Engineer to support the manufacture of complex hybrid microelectronics. The nature of projects will require collaboration across the organization with different engineering functions, operations, quality, supply chain, and management to ensure goals are met. This individual may also be asked to support design, continuous improvement, and root-cause corrective action tasks among various other efforts.
This position is hands on,
fully in-office, supporting
1st shift operations
Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3 PM.
It will require learning and becoming proficient across a multitude of automated and manual pieces of equipment as well as the operations that utilize them. The process engineer will be responsible for establishing new processes, improving current process, and supporting the competency of operations across the following:
- Hand assembly, hermetic sealing, environmental screening
- Automated and manual wedge and ball bonding (F&K, Hesse, Westbond, etc.)
- Bond pull/shear testing and rework (Dage, XYZtec, Bondtec, etc.)
- Plasma and solvent cleaning technologies (Panasonic, March, etc.)
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required / Ability and willingness to apply for clearance
- BS/MS in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related technical discipline
- 3+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing including technologies such as manual and automated semiconductor module assembly, wirebonding, die attach, hermetic sealing, lead forming, and surface mount technologies
- Understanding of MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, and other associated standards preferred
- Prior experience working in a highly controlled medical or defense manufacturing area preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions, interpret equipment manuals and process documentation.
- Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope is necessary.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Minitab statistical software, and AutoCAD or related modeling software.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $75,200 to $103,400.
