Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• 7-10 years in process mechanical self-perform estimating for water/wastewater construction or heavy civil projects.
• Hands-on expertise in estimating Flanged Ductile Iron pipe and fittings and process equipment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software; familiarity with BIM tools preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Promote and adhere to company safety policies and the R.H. White Code of Conduct.
• Lead the development of mechanical estimates for water and wastewater projects, ensuring competitive accuracy.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and engage with clients and engineers to clarify project details.
• Accurately quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed for treatment plants and pump stations.
• Price piping networks and process equipment essential for water and wastewater treatment.
• Evaluate and compare subcontractor proposals, using cost history for refining production rates.
• Develop and monitor bid schedules, lead estimate reviews, and provide operational support during turnover and buyout.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure project understanding and offer technical support.
