Position Overview:
The Process Improvement Lead supports process improvement initiatives within the OEM Remanufacturing facility with a primary focus on the Finning Exchange business. This role leads cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational performance, solving complex problems, and delivering measurable business outcomes

A strong data driven approach is essential, leveraging analytics and structured problem solving to identify root causes, evaluate opportunities, and support decision making. The work often involves navigating ambiguity, where problems and solutions are not clearly defined, requiring the ability to structure issues, explore options, and develop a path forward.

Success in the position requires operating in a highly cross functional environment, influencing outcomes, aligning stakeholders, and driving results without direct authority.

Job Description:
  • Lead multiple process improvement projects using structured problem-solving and Lean methodologies to improve operational performance
  • Conduct structured assessments of business problems and opportunities, including defining problem statements, analyzing current state performance, and evaluating improvement potential to inform recommendations and ownership
  • Collaborate with a broad stakeholder group across operations, supply chain, and support functions to identify improvement opportunities, align on priorities, and define project scope
  • Partner closely with Process Improvement Analysts to leverage data, analytics, and reporting to support problem diagnosis, quantify opportunities, and track project performance
  • Analyze operational data to diagnose issues, quantify opportunities, and track performance against targets
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and project meetings to drive alignment and progress
  • Develop and maintain process maps, standard work, and performance measures to support sustainment of improvements
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and barriers to successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with IT to support system related improvements and ensure alignment between process and technology
  • Develop project plans and roadmaps, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time and meet defined objectives
  • Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and Senior Managers


Qualifications:
  • Post secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2-plus years of experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, or project management roles
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, where problems are not well defined and solutions require exploration, structure, and iteration
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with data to inform decisions
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using PowerBI to analyze data and support reporting and insights
  • Working knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
