Texas Instruments is seeking an Engineering Section Manager. Generally, the second-highest level engineering position in the factory, this role reports to the Engineering Branch Manager, and oversees and provides leadership to lower-level engineering managers and supervisors within a particular engineering ';section';. In this role, you will oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. You may also ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acting as liaison with engineering in releasing new products is a central to this role. Key responsibilities include developing systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. As an Engineering Section Manager, you may also develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum education Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, Materials, Physics, Chemistry, or other related fields
  • 3 years of experience in semiconductor engineering
  • 1 year of demonstrated ability to lead teams of 5 or more people


Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Experience with Diffusion or Thermal
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
