Process Engineer Utilities

Location: Belvidere, New Jersey, United States

As Process Engineer Utilities, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of site utility systems at the Belvidere site. You will provide technical expertise, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support operational excellence, and collaborate across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Fermentation teams to enhance plant performance, sustainability, and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence by analyzing process performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and implementing cost-effective improvements.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting efforts and support reliability initiatives, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Manage and support capital and improvement projects, including automation and digitalization initiatives within Utilities operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement programs, including Impact and 5S initiatives, to enhance performance, efficiency, and workplace organization.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate technical documentation and change control processes.
  • Provide technical coaching, training, and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing across the site.

You Bring
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within chemical, pharmaceutical, or related industries required
  • Knowledge of utility systems, environmental requirements, regulatory compliance, and process safety principles
