Job Title
Process Engineer Sr.

Responsible for comprehensively understanding and optimizing process engineering operations within a ceramic powder manufacturing facility. This role serves as the primary owner for transitioning new processes from R&D into full-scale manufacturing, including equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and process scale-up activities. The position partners cross-functionally to execute engineering initiatives aligned with business unit strategies, while driving operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Execute technology transfers to meet production requirements.
  • Lead commissioning activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and process validation.
  • Manage capital projects from scoping and justification, through equipment procurement and installation.
  • Responsible for process improvements that deliver yield or throughput gains.
  • Lead problem solving activities for complex process and equipment related issues.
  • Develop, review, and update, PFDs, P&IDs, MOCs, FMEAs, and control narratives as required.
  • Serve as the primary interface with manufacturers and vendors that supply equipment to the company, from specification setting through implementation, into manufacturing and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements including meeting local consensus safety standards.
  • Manage contractors and on-site construction activities, while coordinating with EHS, facilities, and operations, to minimize production disruptions.
  • Perform detailed analysis for executive review and effectively communicate findings across all organizational levels.
  • May travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Preferred experience in an automated engineering environment. Familiarity with Rockwell Automation and FactoryTalk a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent project management training preferred.
  • Software knowledge - AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, Solidworks, and Minitab are preferred.


Experience:
  • 5-7 years in a process engineering role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Lean Six Sigma - Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, TQM, SPC, TPM, 6S, Kaizen methodologies.
  • Project Management - Independently lead multi-phase capital projects, including scope definition, budget management, schedule control, and contractor oversight.

Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 103,040.00 - USD 136,013.00

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
